要旨 Ajinomoto Bio-Pharma Services as a fully integrated contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) offers a broad range of innovative platform technologies and the End-to-End solutions for biopharmaceutical development and manufacturing. In this presentation, we will show our CDMO capability and CORYNEX® protein expression platform technology including the site-specific incorporation of non-canonical amino acid for biopharmaceuticals.

要旨 Using cutting-edge protein production platform, Ajinomoto provides all services from strain development to manufacturing.
CORYNEX® : A bacterial recombinant protein expression system for antibody fragments and scaffolds using endotoxin-free bacteria as host.
TALAMAX® : A system for the production of antibodies, scFv and Fc-fusion proteins using microbe. Compared to animal cell platform, culture time is reduced by half and the cost of fermentation raw materials is reduced to 1/10.

要旨 CORYNEX® is protein manufacturing service based on a proprietary protein expression system by Corynebacterium glutamicum of Ajinomoto Co. By integrating “CORYNEX®” and amber suppression technologies, we have succeeded in site-specific incorporation of non-canonical amino acids (ncAAs) into peptides/proteins and expanded molecular repertoire, aiming at site-specific conjugation and protein stabilization/functionalization. Here we show examples of site-specific conjugation of a chemical compound or a protein via p-azido-L-phenylalanine and protein functionalization with 3-chloro-L-tyrosine.
