Topics and Presenters “Next-Generation Antibody Conjugates Using Site-Specific Antibody Modification Technology AJICAP®”

Executive Summary AJICAP® is a next-generation antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) generation platform based on site-specific antibody modification and linker technology. In recent years, numerous ADCs have been launched and their efficacy has been highly evaluated. This has led to the application of ADCs not only in anticancer drugs, but also in combining antibodies with various molecules such as oligonucleotides and proteins. However, challenges related to pharmacokinetics and physical properties have also been identified.
The AJICAP® site-specific modification technology enables precise control of the drug-to-antibody ratio (DAR), which has been difficult with conventional methods, and provides homogeneous ADCs controlled at DAR2. Recently, we have developed a technology for the selective synthesis of DAR1. This has proven to be particularly useful for antibody complexes with oligonucleotides and proteins. In this session, we will present AJICAP® applications focusing on the modification technology for antibodies.
